This Micor case is applicable to the following genus:

  • Anthurium spp
  • Cymbidium spp
  • Gerbera spp
  • Plumeria spp
  • Philodendron spp
Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments must be packed in secure clean packaging materials free of soil, straw, chaff and other organic material.

All plants must be separated and clearly identified, labelled with their botanical name, species name and quantity for proper identification.

Plants must only be sourced from a registered plant nursery. 

All plants must be free of soil, sand and compost. 

Plants must be exported bare rooted and wrapped in a clean new non-organic or inert media (synthetic moss, perlite, vermiculite, paper).

Note: All plants must be accompanied by a receipt(s) to verify that they have been purchased from an outlet that sells plants or a registered plant nursery.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

All plants must be treated with the following approved systemic insecticide, miticide and fungicide:

  • Abamectin (Avid) at a rate of 9mls per litre of water (miticide) 
  • Bravo (Chlorothalonil) at a rate of 2mls per litre of water (fungicide) 
  • Attack (Permethrin) at a rate of 1mls per litre of water (insecticide) 
  • Conqueror oil at a rate of 1% per litre of water
