Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note:

Sphacelotheca cruenta is used as the synonym for Sporisorium cruentum.

Tolyposporium ehrenbergii is a synonym for Anthracocystis ehrenbergii.

Sphacelia sorghi is a synonym for Claviceps sorghi.

Explanation of the endorsements:

Endorsement 1327:

  • Applied when treatment is undertaken.

The consignments are to be treated with appropriate fungicide for Root rot of sorghum (Periconia circinata) and Smut (Anthracocystis ehrenbergii) at manufacturer’s recommended label rates.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1318)
1) Johnson grass smut (Sphacelotheca cruenta), Sorghum ergot (Claviceps sorghi) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) Smut (Ustilago kenjiana), Root rot of sorghum (Periconia circinata) and Smut (Anthracocystis ehrenbergii) are known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1327)
1) Johnson grass smut (Sphacelotheca cruenta), Sorghum ergot (Claviceps sorghi) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) Smut (Ustilago kenjiana) is known not to occur in the area of production,
3) The consignment has been treated for Root rot of sorghum (Periconia circinata) and Smut (Anthracocystis ehrenbergii).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 1487)
1) Johnson grass smut (Sphacelotheca cruenta), Sorghum ergot (Claviceps sorghi) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) Smut (Ustilago kenjiana) is known not to occur in the area of production,
3) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Root rot of sorghum (Periconia circinata) and Smut (Anthracocystis ehrenbergii).
