Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 533:
  • Sugarcane downy mildew (Sclerospora sacchari) and Dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa) are known not to occur in Australia. Freedom from these pests may be endorsed without any supporting evidence.
  • A crop inspection report must be provided to endorse freedom from Lucerne black stem (Phoma medicaginis), Sorghum ergot (Claviceps africana), Crown gall (Agrobacterium tumefaci) and Bacterial blight of barley (Xanthomonas translucens). 
Endorsement 2049:
  • Dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa) is not known to occur in Australia. Freedom from this pest may be endorsed without any supporting evidence.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 533)
1) Sugarcane downy mildew (Sclerospora sacchari) and Dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa) are known not to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Lucerne black stem (Phoma medicaginis), Sorghum ergot (Claviceps africana), Crown gall (Agrobacterium tumefaci) and Bacterial blight of barley (Xanthomonas translucens).
