Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 

China food registration:

Effective from 1 January 2022, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) implemented changes to registration and labelling requirements for food processing and storage facilities handling food exported to China.

For plant products, these requirements apply to edible grains, milled grain products, malt, fresh-kept/preserved and dehydrated vegetables, dry beans, nuts, seeds, dry fruits, unroasted coffee and cocoa beans.

These requirements do not apply to fresh fruit, unprocessed wheat and unprocessed barley.

Explanation of the endorsements:

Endorsement 822

No evidence is required to endorse freedom from the following pest as it is not known to occur in Australia:
  • Dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa)
Laboratory Test Analysis Certificate for the absence of Barley Stripe Mosaic Virus in the consignment must be provided with the Notice of Intention to Export Prescribed Goods when submitted to the  Authorised Officer.

No evidence is required to endorse freedom from the following pests as they are not on oats export pathway:
  • Wheat eyespot (Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides)
  • Arabis mosaic virus
Freedom from the following pests can be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate based on visual inspection of a representative by an Authorised Officer:
  • Granary weevil (Sitophilus granarius)
  • Darnel ryegrass (Lolium temulentum)
  • Sorghum (Sorghum almum)
  • Johnson grass (Sorghum halepense)

Endorsement 2971

No evidence is required to endorse freedom from the following pest as it is not known to occur in Australia:
