This is a protocol market, growers/orchards, packhouses and treatment facilities must meet the requirements outlined in the China mango workplan and be accredited by the department for China. Only fruit sourced, packed and/or treated from accredited properties will be certified.

The work plan and protocol are available through Micor Plants in the 'Documents' section. Access is restricted and requires a logon.
Also refer to the application standard for vapour heat treatment (VHT).
The application standard is available in 'Treatments' section of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Plant Export Operations Manual, available on the department's website.
Shipping Marks
The shipping marks must be entered into the RFP as:
- PACKHOUSE NO: XXXX
Sea container sealnumber must be entered in the Phytosanitary certificate under item 12(Distinguishing marks and the container Nos.).
Import Permit Requirements
- An import permit is not required for export certification BUT is required by China on arrival.
- If an import permit is not available the phytosanitary certificate is to be issued with the import permit section completed as NOT SUPPLIED.
- If an import permit is provided in which the conditions vary from the protocol, please refer to the Horticulture Exports Program in Canberra before any further export activity is undertaken.
The innermost fruit pulp temperature (degrees celsius) - Exposure period consecutive minutes is:
- 47 degrees celsius or above - 15 minutes;
- 46 degrees celsius or above - 20 minutes
The treatment is to be shown on the Phytosanitary certificate as:
- V heat treatment start date treatment end date for xx minutes atxx degrees celsius treatment facility name and number xxxx
1) The mangoes in this consignment have been produced in Australia in accordance with the conditions governing entry of fresh mango fruit to China and inspected and found to be free of quarantine pests,
2) The product in this consignment has been subjected to orchard control for Orange fruit borer (Isotenes miserana), Mango seed weevil (Sternochetus mangiferae), and Bacterial black spot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferaeindica) in accordance with the conditions governing entry of fresh mango fruit to China.
