Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

The exporter is to provide a combination of crop inspection report, laboratory testing and area freedom certificate as an evidence to certify freedom from:

  • Tomato canker (Clavibacter michiganenis subsp michiganense) 
  • Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci)
  • Broomrape (Orobanche spp)
  • Nematode (Meloidogyne spp)
  • Root lesion nematode (Pratylenchus spp)
  • Blast of oil palm (Pythium splendens)
  • Tobacco ringspot virus
  • Verticillium wilt (Verticillium albo-atrum)

Visual inspection or crop inspection or lab analysis report may be used to certify freedom from:

  •  Dodder (Cuscuta spp)
  • Darnel ryegrass (Lolium temulentum)

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) Rust (Albugo tragopogi var helianthi), Bacterial stem crack of carnation (Burkholderia caryophylli), Stem canker & Stalk rot of Sunflower (Diaporthe helianthi), Tomato black ring virus and Nematode (Longidorus spp) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) Using official procedures, the consignment was found free of Tomato canker (Clavibacter michiganenis subsp michiganense), Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Nematode (Meloidogyne spp), Nematode (Paratrichodorus spp), Root lesion nematode (Pratylenchus spp), Blast of oil palm (Pythium splendens), Tobacco ringspot virus, Verticillium wilt (Verticillium albo-atrum), Darnel ryegrass (Lolium temulentum), Dodder (Cuscuta spp), Spring dead spot (Leptosphaeria lindquistii) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).
