Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 7821:

  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Darnel grass (Lolium temulentum), Fruit fly (Ceratitis spp), Red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta) and Sandbar (Cenchrus spp).
  • A laboratory analysis certificate, crop inspection certificate or an area freedom certificate is required for endorsing freedom from Stubby root nematode (Trichodorus spp), Root-lesion nematode (Pratylenchus spp), Blackleg (Leptosphaeria maculans), Root-feeding nematode (Paratrichodorous spp), Bacterial leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. maculicola) and Root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp).
Endorsement 8108:
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Sandbar (Cenchrus spp) and Darnel grass (Lolium temulentum).
  • A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from fruit fly (Ceratitis spp), Blackleg (Leptosphaeria maculans), Root knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp), Nematode (Pratylenchus spp), Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. maculicola), Red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta), Stubby-root nematode (Trichodorus spp, Paratrichodorus spp), and Crown and root rot (Verticillium dahliae).
Endorsement 8426:
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta), Darnel grass (Lolium temulentum) and Fruit fly (Ceratitis spp).
  • A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Root knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp), Nematode (Pratylenchus spp) and Stubby-root nematode (Trichodorus spp, Paratrichodorus spp).
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. maculicola) and Arabis mosaic virus.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 8108)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Sandbar (Cenchrus spp) and Darnel grass (Lolium temulentum),
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of fruit fly (Ceratitis spp), Blackleg (Leptosphaeria maculans), Root knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp), Nematode (Pratylenchus spp), Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. maculicola), Red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta), Stubby-root nematode (Trichodorus spp, Paratrichodorus spp), and Crown and root rot (Verticillium dahliae).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 8426)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta), Fruit fly (Ceratitis spp) and Darnel grass (Lolium temulentum),
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Root knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp), Nematode (Pratylenchus spp) and Stubby-root nematode (Trichodorus spp, Paratrichodorus spp),
3) Seed was found free through laboratory testing of Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. maculicola) and Arabis mosaic virus.
