It is the exporter's responsibility to ensurethat seeds meet Chile's quality requirements for seeds for sowing. Chile'sNPPO may reject consignments if they do not meet the requirements.
Any consignments with an ISTA analysis certificate which states a presence of soil greater than 0.1% of the sample (weight by weight) are required to be retested in Chile for soil. If testing in Chile confirms that soil presence is greater than 0.1% of the sample weight, the consignment will be rejected. Additionally, if soil is found during on-arrival inspection in Chile, the consignment will be rejected. It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure the soil content of a consignment meets Chile's requirements.
- Bent grass nematode (Anguina agrostis) is known not to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
- A treatment certificate attesting to fungicide treatment using one of the products listed in the Treatment section is required to endorse freedom from Leaf blight (Cochliobolus victoriae).
Note:The import requirements reference benomyl fungicide treatment, however thereare no products containing benomyl which are registered by the AustralianPesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority for use in Australia.
