Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.
The cultures must be exported in transparent, closed containers, in aseptic conditions and containing a sterile culture medium.
Packaging must have the tightness required to ensure phytosanitary conditions are secured and maintained in transit.
Consignment must be correctly labelled with its full botanical name (genus and species).
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
The Chilean government requires the type of laboratory analysis to be stated in point 3 of the endorsement. If a different type of analysis is to be used, please contact micorplants@aff.gov.au.
Explanation of endorsement
7852 – analysis method: used reverse transcription PCR.
7853 – analysis used: real time PCR with quantitative analysis.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7852)
1) The plant material has been produced through the in vitro tissue culture technique and has undergone at least two cycles of subculture and repotting.
2) The parent plants were inspected during the growing season and found free from Avocado sunblotch viroid and Potato spindle tuber viroid (Tomato bunchy top viroid).
3) The parent plants were laboratory tested by using RT-PCR and found free of Avocado sunblotch viroid and Potato spindle tuber viroid (Tomato bunchy top viroid).
4) Pierce's disease (Xylella fastidiosa) is not known to occur in Australia.
5) The material originates from a laboratory which is under control of Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry for commercial supply of avocado tissue culture material.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 7853)
1) The plant material has been produced through the in vitro tissue culture technique and has undergone at least two cycles of subculture and repotting.
2) The parent plants were inspected during the growing season and found free from Avocado sunblotch viroid and Potato spindle tuber viroid (Tomato bunchy top viroid).
