It is the exporter's responsibility to ensurethat seeds meet Chile's quality requirements for seeds for sowing. Chile'sNPPO may reject consignments if they do not meet the requirements.
Endorsements for laboratory testing must specify the diagnostic technique used to certify freedom from the pests. Exporters are to contact MICoRPlants@agriculture.gov.au if alternative analytical or diagnostic technique endorsements are required.

Any consignments with an ISTA analysis certificate which states a presence of soil greater than 0.1% of the sample (weight by weight) are required to be retested in Chile for soil. If testing in Chile confirms that soil presence is greater than 0.1% of the sample weight, the consignment will be rejected. Additionally, if soil is found during on-arrival inspection in Chile, the consignment will be rejected. It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure the soil content of a consignment meets Chile's requirements.

If, during crop inspection, symptoms of this disease are found, a laboratory analysis certificate specifying the analytical technique used and certifying freedom from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv. carotae) must also be provided.
