Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

Consignmentmust be clearly labelled with its full botanical name (genus and species).

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Plants rooted in agar or other transparent or translucent tissue culture medium which are produced, contained, grown and exported in a sealed, sterile container are exempt from having additional declarations regarding soil and / or pests on the phytosanitary certificate.

Plants that are exported as ex-agar, are also exempt from phytosanitary certification declarations regarding soil and / or pests but must include the endorsement 2458.
