The consignment is subject to inspection by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency upon arrival.

Note:
  • Endorsement 1957 is only required for consignments exported to British Columbia. Consignments exported to other provinces of Canada do not require an endorsement.
Consignments for export to areas in Canada other than British Columbia are to be treated prior to export:

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 12grm/m3 for 2.5 hours at 26 degrees Celsius or above;

OR

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 16grm/m3 for 2.5 hours at 21 degrees Celsius or above;

OR

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 20grm/m3 for 2.5 hours at 16 degrees Celsius or above;

OR

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 24grm/m3 for 2.5 hours at 11 degrees Celsius or above
Consignments for export to British Columbia are to be treated prior to export:
  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 24grm/m3 for 2 hours at 27 degrees Celsius or above;

OR

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 32grm/m3 for 2 hours at 21 degrees Celsius or above;

OR

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 40grm/m3 for 2 hours at 16 degrees Celsius or above;

OR

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 48grm/m3 for 2 hours at 11 degrees Celsius or above;

OR

  • Fumigation with methyl bromide at 64grm/m3 for 2 hours at 5 degrees Celsius or above


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
