Additional Declaration/Endorsement Yes

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Explanation of endorsement 8484:

  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Cottony soft rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum).
  • Visual inspection by the AO is sufficient to endorse freedom from plant debris, Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and other regulated weed seeds.
  • Endorsement of freedom from live insects and soil is covered under the static statement, therefore live insects and soil are not specifically listed in Endorsement 8484.

Note:

  • A representative sample must be tested for Cottony soft rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum) using an appropriate test method capable of detecting fungal pathogens.

If required by the import permit and if any seed treatment has been applied prior to export:

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 8484)
1) A representative sample was tested using appropriate methods and found to be free of Cottony soft rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum),
2) The consignment was inspected and found to be free of plant debris, Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and other regulated weed seeds.
