Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Pests of concern to Brunei

Exporters are required to present one of the following to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection. 

 An official soil test certificate issued by the relevant state or territory government attesting to Potato cyst nematode (PCN) freedom.

OR

An area freedom certificate issued by the relevant state or territory government attesting to Golden cyst nematode (Globodera rostochiensis) freedom.


Note: Any wooden material used as part of the shipment must be treated as specified on the import permit and details of the treatment inlcuded on the phytosanitary certificate. A treatment certficate must also accompany the consignment.
