Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


If required by the import permit, endorsements 7221 or 7222 can be added. Otherwise, a phytosanitary certificate with no endorsement is to be issued.

Explanation of the endorsements:

Endorsement 7221:
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. insidiosus), Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Witch weed (Striga spp) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).
Endorsement 7222:
  • A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. insidiosus), Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Witch weed (Striga spp) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7221)
1) The shipment was found free through laboratory testing of Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. insidiosus), Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Witch weed (Striga spp) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 7222)
1) The crop was officially inspected at active growth and found to be free of Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. insidiosus), Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Witch weed (Striga spp) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).
Import permit dated 18 May 2022.
