A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.



Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.



Those interested in importing a regulated article for scientific research and experimentation must be associated to an institution or company operating in activities involving scientific research and experimentation.


When specified on the import permit, seeds must be of Australian origin.
