Exporters must confirm with the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock & Food Supply (MAPA) if an import permit is required for the consignment.

If an import permit is required, an original and official translation of the Import Permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of making appointment.

A phytosanitary certificate is still required if an import permit is not issued.
