Explanation of the Endorsements
Endorsement 5042 or 5043
Applies to consignments that are unable to be certified, and are to be fumigated with an appropriate fumigant at recommended manufacturers requirements within two weeks prior to export. The Phytosanitary certificate will be certified with No Additional Declaration.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

The original fumigation certificate must accompany the consignment
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 5042)
1) Philippine downy mildew (Peronosclerospora philippinensis) is not known to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Southern leaf blight of corn (Cochliobolus heterostrophus).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 5043)
1) Philippine downy mildew (Peronosclerospora philippinensis) is not known to occur in Australia,
2) Southern leaf blight of corn (Cochliobolus heterostrophus) is known not to occur in the area of production.
