If an import permit is provided at time of inspection, the import permit number is to be recorded on the inspection record and on the phytosanitary certificate. If no import permit is provided at time of inspection, no import permit number is required for inspection and authorisation.

Explanation of endorsements

Endorsement 2079:

  • This endorsement is only to be used if required by the import permit presented to the Authorised Officer.
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from hemp seeds (Cannabis spp) and poppy seeds (Papaver spp).

1) A representative sample was inspected and found to be free of hemp seeds (Cannabis spp) and poppy seeds (Papaver spp).
Market access confirmed with GEP 5 February 2014, import permit dated 05 April 2021.
