Explanation of the endorsements
Endorsement 1134:
- Western corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera virgifera) is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
- Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile).
- A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Witch weed (Striga spp) and Wheat streak mosaic virus.

Endorsement 6951:
- Red witchweed (Striga asiatica) is recognised as not occurring in any Australian states and territories except the Mackay region of Queensland. Australian consignments of Zea mays seed can be endorsed free from Red witchweed (Striga asiatica) based on exporter's declaration confirming sourcing seeds from areas other than Mackay region of Queensland.
- The place of production details must be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP) as: THE SEED WAS GROWN IN <PLACE OF PRODUCTION>, <STATE>. There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant Program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au).
- Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile).
