1.1 Prohibited
The Department has no knowledge of honey or edible apiculture products that are prohibited for import to Vietnam.
1.2 Conditions
The export of honey and edible apiculture products from Australia to Vietnam requires health certification specified in section 3.1.
Relevant certification requirements can be found below.
2.1 Import permit
Exporters are encouraged to confirm the importing conditions through their importer or, if needed, the government authority of Vietnam.

The Department is not aware of any prohibited products related to honey.
3.1 Government certification
The following export health certificate is available as a NEXDOC electronic certificate for honey and edible apiculture products for human consumption from Australia to Vietnam.

NEXDOC endorsement 9002
- The product described herein does not contain hazardous substances at levels harmful to human health.
- The product described herein has been prepared, handled, stored and transported in accordance with Australian food hygiene regulations and is therefore deemed suitable for human consumption.
- All precautions have been taken to prevent contamination with infections or contagious diseases.

3.2 Supporting documents and exporter declarations
The exporter must attach either a manufacturer’s declaration, HACCP certification or GMP certification to the NEXDOC Request for Export (REX) to confirm compliance with the attestations outlined in endorsement 9002.
NB - Exporters are advised to complete the Manufacturer name field of the REX using the following format:
‘PROCESSED AT [NAME OF MANUFACTURER]’
The Department is not aware of any other requirements (for example, packaging, labelling) of honey and edible apiculture products.
The Department is not aware of any exemptions being granted by Vietnam. Exporters are encouraged to confirm if any exemptions apply by contacting their importer or, if needed, the relevant Vietnam government authority.
