1.1 Prohibited

The Department has no knowledge of vitamins and supplements that are prohibited for export to New Zealand.

3.1 Government certification

An NX188B (NEXDOC) certificate can be issued for vitamin and supplement products (e.g. encapsulated products, gummies and powders) that are exported as non-prescribed goods to New Zealand.

Exporters should check certificate requirements with their importer, or if needed the importing country authority.

Therapeutic goods will continue to be certified by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

The department is not aware of any other requirements (for example, packaging, labelling) of vitamins and supplements exported to New Zealand.
