Unless specified within the commodity list below, the Department is unaware of any specific requirement for edible non-prescribed goods* that are for export to Malaysia.
*Importing country requirements for some non-prescribed goods that contain meat, fish, dairy or egg products and animal by-products are covered on the relevant meat, dairy, fish or egg pages in Micor. You should check for importing country requirements there.
2.1 Import permit
Exporters are not required to obtain an import permit; however, they are encouraged to confirm the importing conditions through their importer, or if needed the government authority of Malaysia.

The Department is not aware of any prohibited edible apiculture products for export to Malaysia.
3.1 Government certification
The following document provides instructions on how to complete certificate template number EX188B (within the Next Export Documentation system (NEXDOC) Portal):
Australian produced honey
For consignments of 100% Australian origin raw and processed honey use declaration and certificate as to condition EX188B (NEXDOC) with endorsement 1234.

This product is 100% Australian origin honey. No certificate of analysis is required.
Based on the registration, approval and compliance activities of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, the certifying authority has no reason to suspect that the above product contains chloramphenicol.
Product containing imported honey
For consignments of raw and processed honey containing imported honey use declaration and certificate as to condition EX188B (NEXDOC) with endorsement 1235.

This product is Australian honey blended with imported honey. A Certificate of Analysis from a NATA accredited laboratory is attached which shows no trace of chloramphenicol was detected.
3.2 Supporting documents and exporter declarations
Product containing imported honey
The government certificate must be accompanied by a 'Certificate of Analysis' confirming that the raw or processed honey has been tested by a NATA accredited laboratory and no trace of chloramphenicol was detected. The exporter must attach the 'Certificate of Analysis' to the NEXDOC Request for Export (REX).
The Department is not aware of any other requirements.
The Department is not aware of any exemptions being granted by Malaysia. Exporters are encouraged to confirm if any exemptions apply by contacting their importer or, if needed, the government authority of Malaysia.
