1.1 Prohibited
The Department is not aware of any prohibited inedible non-prescribed goods, including inedible apiculture products to Indonesia.
1.2 Conditions
Compliance with relevant Australian domestic requirements. The Department is unaware of any certification requirements for inedible non-prescribed goods to Indonesia.
The Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Indonesia requires establishments wanting to export honey or honey products to be listed with both the department and the MOA. Part of this listing process is the completion of detailed application forms provided by the MOA. These forms must be completed by the establishment and submitted to the department for assessment. They are then forwarded to the MOA for final approval.
Honey processors and/or exporters interested in exporting honey and honey products to Indonesia should contact the Department via email at NPGExports@agriculture.gov.au
New establishments seeking to produce honey and honey products for export to Indonesia must be approved for listing by both the department and the MOA before production can commence.
3.1 Government certification
Before applying for certification of honey and honey product exports to Indonesia, confirm that there are appropriate listing approvals in place with the department and the MOA.
Honey and honey products must be accompanied by an EX188B (manual) certificate with the following endorsements:
Fit for human consumption
and
The product is permitted to be distributed in Australia
The Department is not aware of any other requirements (for example, packaging, labelling) of honey.
The Department is not aware of any exemptions being granted by Indonesia. Exporters are encouraged to confirm if any exemptions apply by contacting their importer or, if needed, the relevant Indonesian government authority.
