3.1 Government certification
An NX188B (NEXDOC) certificate can be issued for processed foods, ingredients and beverage products that are exported as non-prescribed goods to the United States of America.
Optional NEXDOC endorsement 9003:
- The products are fit for human consumption.
If the NX188B is issued with optional endorsement 9003, then the exporter must attach a manufacturer's declaration, exporter's declaration or HACCP certificate to the NEXDOC Request for Export (REX) to demonstrate the consignment's compliance with endorsement 9003.
An NX188M (NEXDOC) certificate can be issued for vitamin and supplements products (e.g., encapsulated products, gummies and powders) that are exported as non-prescribed goods to the United States of America.
Exporters may use the NEXDOC Free Text Endorsement functionality to request a bespoke certification endorsement that is required by their import permit or other official documentation issued by the competent authority. A copy of the official documentation outlining the import requirements (e.g., import permit) and supporting documentation (e.g., manufacturer's declaration) must be attached to the REX if requesting a free text endorsement.
Therapeutic goods will continue to be certified by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
