1.1. Prohibited

The Department is unaware of any prohibited edible non-prescribed goods* for export to Papua New Guinea.

1.2. Conditions

Unless specified within the commodity list below, the Department is unaware of any specific requirement for edible non-prescribed goods* that are for export to Papua New Guinea.

*Importing country requirements for some non-prescribed goods that contain meat, fish, dairy or egg products and animal by-products are covered on the relevant meat, dairy, fish or egg pages in Micor. You should check for importing country requirements there.

The Department is unaware of any prohibited inedible non-prescribed goods* that are for export to Papua New Guinea.

Specific goods

Edible apiculture products

1. Precondition for market access

Papua New Guinea accepts edible apiculture products from exporters that are listed for export to the European Union (EU). 

2. Documentation requirements

2.1 Government certification

For edible apiculture products use an EX188B certificate (NEXDOC only) with additional endorsement 601.

These goods are free from contamination and fit for human consumption.

The following document provides instructions on how to complete certificate template number EX188B (within the Next Export Documentation system (NEXDOC) Portal):

2.2 Supporting documents and exporter declarations

The exporter must attach supporting documentation (e.g. Exporters Declaration, Manufacturer’s Declaration, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate and/or HACCP Certificate) to the NEXDOC Request for Export (REX) to demonstrate the consignment’s compliance with the endorsement 601.
