Unless specified within the commodity list below, the Department is unaware of any certification requirements for edible non-prescribed goods* for export to Hong Kong.
Non-prescribed food products must comply with Hong Kong’s labelling requirements — refer to the
Legislative Council Brief — Food and drugs (composition and labelling (PDF 200 KB) .
*Importing country requirements for some non-prescribed goods that contain meat, fish, dairy or egg products and animal by-products are covered on the relevant meat, dairy, fish or egg pages in

2. Documentation requirements
2.1 Government certification
The Department is unaware of any certification requirements for edible apiculture products for export to Hong Kong.
An unendorsed EX188B certificate (NEXDOC only) can be issued for edible apiculture products. However, exporters are encouraged to confirm the importing conditions through their importer, or if needed the government authority of Hong Kong.

Margarine, containing edible tallow
1. Preconditions for market access
1.1 Import permit
Exporters are not required to obtain an import permit.

2.1 Government certification
An unendorsed EX188B certificate (manual only) can be issued for margarine, containing edible tallow. However, exporters are encouraged to confirm the importing conditions through their importer, or if needed the government authority of Hong Kong.
3. Other requirements
Australian non-prescribed food products such as margarine containing edible tallow must comply with Hong Kong's labelling requirements — refer to the Legislative Council Brief — Food and drugs (composition and labelling) (PDF 200 KB).
