1.1 Prohibited
The Department is unaware of any prohibited edible non-prescribed goods that are for export to Egypt.
1.2 Conditions
Under the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) pre-clearance system, all importers and exporters will be required to lodge shipment data and upload consignment shipping documentation to the Nafeza system. As part of this, all shipping documentation must include a uniquely issued Advance Cargo Information (ACI) Identification number (ACID number) for consignment clearance at port of entry.
The Nafeza Customs Single Window System
Registration
Importers, exporters and/or deputies thereof (delegated customs brokers, shipping agents, freight forwarders or container handling companies) can register under the Nafeza System. Further information on registration can be found on Nafeza.
System use
The import process under the Nafeza system is understood to be as follows:

| 4. | The importer certifies and acknowledges the accuracy of all consignment shipping documentation and data uploaded by the exporter. |
| 5. | The vessel is loaded with the shipment and departs exporting country. |
| 6. | The importer pays import taxes and fees. |
| 7. | The vessel arrives at Egypt port of entry, is inspected by a joint committee and cleared by the Egyptian customs Authority. |
Application of ACID number to shipping documentation
Exporters must include an ACID number on all consignment shipping documentation.
- Australian government issued certification
- All commercial export documentation (for example, commercial invoices, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin).
Copies of all documentation must be uploaded to the Nafeza system with the ACID number.
Egyptian authorities have advised that the ACID number does not need to be included within government-issued certification (including health certificates) as an information field. However, it must be applied by the exporter following issuance by the department (such as by an exporter applied sticker label).

The Department encourages all exporters to work with their importers to ensure that product meets the current importing country requirements.
Unless specified within the specific goods section (below), the Department is not aware of any certificate for the export of non-prescribed edible goods to Egypt. Exporters are encouraged to confirm the importing conditions through their importer or, if needed, the government authority of Egypt.
