Importing country requirements
It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the importing country requirements.

- Where an importing country issues an import permit, the exporter must ensure the animal meets any requirements in the permit.
Health requirements
Some authorities may not recognise or accept a foreign document until it is legalised. The Health Certificate and other documents required for the importation of birds into the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela may need to be legalised by an Apostille of the Australian Government or authenticated by the
Venezuelan Consulate in Australia.
