It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the importing country requirements. Additional information to assist exporters with how to prepare reproductive material for export is available on the Department’s website.

An import permit is required and can be obtained from Peru's National Agricultural Health Service (SENASA).

Note

Where an importing country issues an import permit, the exporter must ensure the animal meets any requirements in the permit.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS / REQUISITOS SANITARIOS

I, Dr ………………………………, a duly authorised government veterinary officer, hereby certify that:

1. Australia is officially free from foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) without vaccination, contagious bovine pleuropneumonia (CBPP), rinderpest, lumpy skin disease, Rift Valley fever, bovine brucellosis (B. abortus) and bovine tuberculosis / Australia es oficialmente libre de Fiebre Aftosa sin vacunación, Pleuroneumonía Contagiosa Bovina, Peste bovina, Dermatosis Nodular Contagiosa, Fiebre del Valle del Rift, Brucelosis bovina (B. abortus) y Tuberculosis bovina.
   
   
2. In Australia, lumpy skin disease and foot-and-mouth disease are notifiable diseases, and Australia has passive surveillance programs in place / En Australia la Dermatosis Nodular Contagiosa y Fiebre aftosa son enfermedades de notificación obligatoria, y tiene implementado un programa de vigilancia pasiva.
   
   
3. Epizootic haemorrhagic disease (Ibaraki disease) has never been diagnosed in Australia and the donor bulls did not present any clinical sign of this illness at the time of the collection of the semen / Enfermedad hemorrágica epizoótica (Enfermedad de Ibaraki) nunca ha sido diagnosticada en Australia y los toros donantes no presentaron ningún signo clínico de esta enfermedad al momento de la colección del semen.
   
   
4. The semen was collected in a Department of Agriculture approved Artificial Insemination Centre (AIC) under the supervision of a veterinarian approved by the Department of Agriculture, and it is endorsed by SENASA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria) Peru / El semen fue colectado en un (CIA) aprobado por el Departamento de Agricultura bajo supervisión de un médico veterinario autorizado por el Departamento de Agricultura, y se encuentra habilitado por el SENASA Perú.
   
   
5. The AIC and the surrounding radius of at least 10 km, are not in an area under quarantine or had animal movement restrictions for cattle during sixty (60) days prior to the semen collection / El CIA y el área incluida en un círculo de un radio de al menos 10 km. en torno a este centro no se encuentran en una zona bajo cuarentena o restricción de la movilización de bovinos durante sesenta (60) días previos a la recolección del semen.
   
   
6. The semen was collected, processed and stored in accordance with the current OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code and kept separate from semen not of an equivalent health status / El semen fue colectado, procesado y almacenado de acuerdo con el Código Sanitario para los Animales Terrestres de la OIE y se mantienen separados de semen de un estado de salud no equivalente.
   
   
7. The donor bulls / Los toros donantes:
   
   
1. They have been born in Australia / Han nacido en Australia;
   
   or / o
   
   
2. They have lived in Australia for at least six (06) months / Han vivido en Australia al menos seis (06) meses;
   
   and / y
   
   
3. They have remained in the AIC at least six (06) months before the collection of semen / Han permanecido en el CIA por lo menos seis (06) meses antes de la colecta de semen;
   
   or / o
   
   
4. At admission to the centre they were subjected to the tests according to the current OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, and they were isolated from other animals and they have not been used for natural service / A la entrada al centro fueron sometidos a las pruebas según el Código Sanitario para los Animales Terrestres de la OIE, y fueron aislados de otros animales y no se han utilizado para acoplamiento natural.
   
   
8. At the time of the collection of semen and during their stay in the AIC, the donor bulls were free of evidence of any infectious/contagious and parasitic illness, including IBR, bovine tuberculosis, paratuberculosis, bovine brucellosis, bluetongue, enzootic bovine leucosis, trichomoniasis, leptospirosis, bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) and bovine genital campylobacteriosis / En el momento de la colección del semeny durante su permanencia en el CIA, los toros donadores se encontraban libres de evidencia de alguna enfermedad infectocontagiosa y parasitaria, incluyendo Rinotraqueítis Infecciosa Bovina (IBR), Tuberculosis, Paratuberculosis, Brucelosis bovina, Lengua Azul, Leucosis Enzoótica Bovina, Tricomoniasis, Leptospirosis, Diarrea Viral Bovina (BVD) y Campilobacteriosis Genital Bovina.
   
   
9. Bovine genital campylobacteriosis / Campilobacteriosis genital bovino
   The donor bulls gave negative results to the culture of semen and preputial specimens within six months before collection of semen to be exported, and as indicated in the current OIE Code / Los toros donantes dieron resultados negativos a las pruebas de cultivo de semen y de muestras prepuciales efectuadas dentro de los seis meses previos a la colección de semen para exportar, y según lo indicado en el Código de OIE.
   
   
10. Trichomoniasis / Tricomoniasis
    The blood samples of the donor bulls were subjected to a direct microscopic examination, and cultural examinantion of preputial specimens within six (06) months before the collection of semen to be exported, and as indicated in the current OIE Code / Las muestras de sangre de los toros donantes resultaron negativos al examen microscópico directo, y al cultivo de muestras prepuciales efectuadas dentro de los seis (06) meses previos a la colección de semen para exportar, y según lo indicado en el Código de la OIE.
    
    
11. Enzootic bovine leucosis / Leucosis bovina enzoótica (LBE)
    
    1. The donor bulls have been negative to / Los toros donadores han resultado negativos a:
       
       
       1. Two (2) tests of agar gel immunodiffusion / Dos (2) pruebas de Inmunodifusión en Gel de Agar; 
          
          or / o
          
          
       2. Two (2) tests of indirect ELISA tests / Dos (2) pruebas de ELISA indirecta;
          
          or / o
          
          
       3. Two (2) tests of blocking or competitive ELISA / Dos (2) pruebas de ELISA de bloqueo o competitiva.
          
          Any of the above diagnostic tests for EBL should be performed on blood samples on two occasions with negative results, the first test being carried out at least 30 days before and the second test at least 90 days after collection of the semen / Cualquiera de ellas pruebas mencionadas arriba para LBE deberan ser efectuadas a partir de muestras sanguíneas, la primera realizada por lo menos 30 días anteriores a la fecha de la colecta de semen, y la segunda al menos 90 días después de la colecta del semen;
          
          
       or / o
       
       
    2. If the donor bull is less than 2 years of age at the time of semen collection, its uterine dam was shown to be serologically negative to / Si el toro que proporcionó el semen tiene menos de 2 años de edad al momento de la colección del semen, su madre uterina ha sido demonstrada serologicamente negative para:
       
       
       1. One (01) agar gel immunodiffusion test/ Una (1) prueba de Inmunodifusión en Gel de Agar;
          
          or / o
          
          
       2. One (01) indirect ELISA / Una (01) prueba de ELISA indirecta;
          
          or / o
          
          
       3. One (01) blocking or competatitive ELISA / Una (01) prueba de ELISA de bloqueo competitiva.
          
          
12. Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis / Rinotraqueitis infecciosa bovina
    
    1. The donor bulls have been isolated at the time of semen collection, and during the 30 days following collection and they have been negative to / Los toros donadores han sido aislados en el momento de la colección, y durante los 30 días siguientes a la colección de semen y han resultado negativos a:
       
       
    1. One (01) virus neutralisation test (with a period of incubation of the serum-virus mixture for 24 hours) / Una (01) prueba de neutralización del virus con un periodo de incubación de la mezcla suero-virus por 24 horas;
       
       or / o
       
       
    2. One (01) blocking ELISA test/ (01) prueba de ELISA de bloqueo;
       
       or / o
       
       
    3. One (01) test of IgE ELISA for bovines vaccinated with a marker vaccine / Una (01) prueba de IgE ELISAs para bovinos vacunados con una vacuna marcadora.
       
       Any of the above diagnostic tests for IBR should be performed on blood samples taken at least 21 days after the collection of the semen/ Efectuadas a partir de una muestra sanguínea tomada con un plazo mínimo de 21 días después de la colección del semen;
       
       
    or / o
    
    
    2. If the donor bull was seropositive, an aliquot of each semen collection before freezing was tested with one of the following methods with negative results / Si el toro donador era seropositivo, una parte alicuota de cada toma de semen antes de congelarlo ha sido probada con las siguientes pruebas y han resultado negativas a:
       
       
       1. One (01) virus isolation test by means of two (2) passages in embryonic chicken eggs or of sheep cells / Una (01) prueba de aislamiento de virus mediante dos (2) pasajes en huevos de gallina embrionados o de células de oveja;
          
          or / o
          
          
       2. One (01) virus identification test via PCR / Una (01) prueba de identificación de virus por PCR.
          
          
13. Bovine viral diarrhoea / Diarrea viral bovina
    Before semen collection, the donor bull/s were isolated for a period of 28 days, and tested negative by / Los toros donadores han sido aislados antes de la toma de semen, por un período de 28 días, y dieron resultado negativo a:
    
    
    1. One (01) virus isolation test with samples of leukocyte cells, whole blood, washed leukocytes or serum with the addition of an immunolabelling system (Immunoperoxidase or Fluorescence) / Una (01) prueba de aislamiento de virus con muestras de células de leucocitos, sangre completa, leucocitos lavados o suero con la adición de un sistema de inmunomarcaje (Inmunoperoxidasa o Fuorescencia);
       
       or / o
       
       
    2. Identification of the agent in blood, plasma or serum via antigen capture ELISA (Erns-capture ELISA) / Identificación del agente en sangre, plasma o suero por la prueba de ELISA de captura de antígenos (ELISA de captura E RNS);
       
       or / o
       
       
    3. Identification of the agent in blood, plasma or serum via PCR test with reverse transcription (RT-PCR) / Identificación del agente en sangre, plasma o suero por la prueba de PCR con transcripción inversa (RT-PCR).
       
       
14. Bluetongue / Lengua Azul
    The donor bulls remained in bluetongue virus free zone during the 60 days previous to the commencement of and during the collection of semen / Los toros donadores permanecieron en una zona libre del virus de lengua azul durante los 60 días anteriores a la primera toma de semen y durante todo el periodo de la toma.
    
    and / y
    
    
    1. Between twenty-eight (28) and sixty (60) days after the last collection semen for the export, the results were negative / Entre los veintiocho (28) y sesenta (60) días después de la última toma de semen para la exportación, los resultados fueron negativos:
       
       
       1. One (01) competitive ELISA test / Una (01) prueba de ELISA competitiva;
          
          or / o
          
          
       2. One (01) agar gel immunodifusion test / Una (01) prueba de Inmunodifusión en Agar Gel
          
       
       or / o
       
       
    2. Negative results to one of the following tests, performed on blood samples / Resultados negativos una de las siguientes pruebas, tomadas a partir de muestras de sangre:
       
       
       1. Two (02) virus isolation tests, taken at the commencement and final collection and at least every 7 days / Dos (02) pruebas de Aislamiento de Virus, tomadas al principio y al final del periodo de toma de semen, y por lo menos cada 7 días;
          
          or / o
          
          
       2. Two (02) PCR taken at the beginning and at the end of the period of collection of the semen with an interval of a minimum of twenty-eight (28) days between testing / Dos (02) pruebas de PCR, tomadas al principio y final del periodo de recolección del semen con un intervalo de un mínimo de veintiocho (28) días entre cada muestreo.
          
          
15. The semen was placed in individually identified straws, in accordance with the current OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code / El semen fue colocado en pajuelas individuales identificadas de acuerdo con las recomendaciones del Código Sanitário para los Animales Terrestres de la OIE.
    
    
16. The thermos/container for the transport of the semen is either new or they were cleaned and disinfected (choose an option and delete the other) with an authorised product and sealed under the supervision of the AIC veterinarian before its transport to the place of shipment / El termo/ contenedor para el transporte del semen es nuevo o fue limpiado y desinfectados (escoja una opción y borre la otra) con un producto autorizado y sellado bajo supervisión del Veterinario del CIA antes de su transporte al lugar de embarque.
    
    
17. The shipment of semen was sealed by an official veterinarian at the time of export / El embarque de semen fue sellado por un Veterinario Oficial en el punto de salida del país.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / INFORMACIONES ADICIONALES

The name and registration of the bull, the breed, collection date and processing date, identification or code of the centre are printed on the straws / En las pajillas deberá ir impreso el nombre y registro del toro, la raza, fecha de recolección y procesamiento, identificación o código del centro.
