4.4 ISOLATION / ISOLEMENT

The horses were isolated from XX/XX/20XX for at least 28 days prior to export in premises approved by the Department of Agriculture for this purpose and under the supervision of an official veterinarian. During this pre export isolation period the horses were:

• isolated from all other horses not of an equivalent isolation and tested health status
• free from clinical signs of infectious or contagious disease
• not vaccinated
• not mated or subjected to reproductive manipulations

All horses of this consignment have been isolated in the same premises.

Les animaux ont été maintenus en isolement pendant au moins 28 jours avant la date d'embarquement dans un établissement agréé par le Département de l'Agriculture du gouvernement Australien pour cet objectif et sous contrôle d'un vétérinaire officiel. Durant cette période d'isolement avant exportation, leschevaux:

• sont restés isolés de tout autre cheval n'ayant pas le même statut sanitaire (en termes d'isolement, de tests réalisés)
• n'ont présenté aucun symptôme de maladies infectieuses ou contagieuses;
• n'ont pas été vaccinés;
• n'ont pas été accouplés ni soumis à des manipulations pour la reproduction

Tous les animaux destinés à l'exportation ont séjourné dans la même quarantaine.

4.5 EQUINE INFECTIOUS ANAEMIA TESTING / ANALYSE ANEMIE INFECTIEUSE EQUINE

The horses were tested for equine infectious anaemia by the immunodiffusion (Coggins) test with negative results within 28 days of export and not less than 7 days after the beginning of the isolation period.

Les animaux ont été soumis, dans les 28 jours précédant l'export et pas moins de 7 jours après l'entrée en isolement, à un test de Coggins pour la détection de l'anémie infectieuse équine (immunodiffusion en gélose), avec résultat negative.

4.6 EQUINE VIRAL ARTERITIS TESTING / Analyse ARTERITE VIRALE EQUINE

The horses (entire males over 6 months of age only) were tested for equine viral arteritis by the serum neutralisation test with negative results, within 28 days of export and not less than 7 days after the beginning of the isolation period.

Les étalons de plus de 6 mois ont été soumis, avec résultat négatif, à un test de séroneutralisation pour l'artérite virale équine, dans les 28 jours précédant le départ et pas moins de 7 jours après l'entrée en isolement.

4.7 EQUINE HENDRA VIRUS TESTING / analyse virus Hendra

In the case of unvaccinated horses: The horses were tested for Hendra virus by an ELISA or SNT with negative results, within 28 days of export and not less than 7 days after the beginning of the isolation period.

• Dans le cas de chevaux non vaccinés: les animaux ont été soumis à un test ELISA ou de séroneutralisation virale pour la detection du virus Hendra, avec résultats négatifs dans les 28 jours precedant l'export et pas moins de 7 jours après l'entrée en isolement.

In the case of vaccinated horses: the vaccinations were administered as per the manufacturer's recommendations using an APVMA approved vaccine. The last booster has been administered at least 14 days before the beginning of the isolation period.

• Dans le cas de chevaux vaccinés : les vaccinations ont été réalisée à l'aide d'un vaccin approuvé APVMA, selon les recommandations du fabriquant. Le dernier rappel a été fait plus de 14 jours avant l'entrée en isolement. Les preuves de la vaccination (primo-vaccination et rappels) sont jointes au présent certificat.

4.8 LABORATORY ACCREDITATION / ACCREDITATION DU LABORATOIRE

All laboratory tests were conducted at a laboratory accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities. Laboratory test results have been attached to this certificate.

Toutes les analyses de laboratoires ont été réalisées dans un laboratoire accrédité NATA. Tous les résultats d'analyse sont joints à ce certificat.

4.9 TREATMENT / TRAITEMENT

4.9.1 For ectoparasites¹ / Contre les parasites externes

The horses were treated with a registered acaricide and insecticide product according to the manufacturers' instructions within 48 hours prior to shipment. During the period of pre-export isolation the horses were treated with a topical long acting insect repellent according to manufacturers' directions.

Les animaux ont été traités dans les 48 heures précédant leur embarquement avec un produit acaricide et insecticide. Pendant la période de pré isolement, un insecticide répulsif longue action est appliqué sur les chevaux selon les recommandations du fabricant.

The horses were treated with a registered "broad spectrum" anthelmintic according to the manufacturers' instructions within 48 hours prior to shipment.

5.9 TRANSPORT / TRANSPORT

The horses were transported directly from the isolation premises to the port of export on transport that was cleaned and disinfected. /

Les animaux ont été transportés directement de l'établissement de provenance vers le lieu d'embarquement à l'aide de moyens de transport nettoyés et désinfectés.

5.10 INSPECTION / INSPECTION

The horses were examined within 48 hours prior to travel and showed no clinical signs of infectious or contagious diseases and were visibly free of external parasites and fit to travel. /

Chaque animal a été examiné dans les 48 heures précédant le départ; ils ont tous été reconnus en bon état de santé, cliniquement indemnes de toute maladie infectieuse et contagieuse, indemnes de parasites externes visibles et aptes au voyage.

If your animal is returning to Australia, you should make yourself familiar with the Department’s requirements for importing live animals into Australia. This is important as your animal may have been exposed to diseases that do not occur in Australia.
