Health certification
The requirements for the import of dogs and cats into India can be found in the below link:

Please note, in addition to the Australian health certificate, the Indian Government
requirements include:
For accompanied pets (i.e. for pet dogs/cats physically accompanied on the flight by
their owner. Note maximum of two pets per passenger is allowed. 3 or more animals is
considered a commercial movement):
- A 'No Objection Certificate' from the Indian Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (DAHD) is very strongly advised.
For unaccompanied animals or commercial movement (3 or more animals):
- An Import License issued by the Indian Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
- An import permit issued by DAHD.
- A 'No Objection Certificate' from DAHD is very strongly advised.
