Importing country requirements

It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the French Polynesian import requirements.

An import permit is required and may be obtained from the French Polynesian Ministry of Agriculture.

Health requirements

I, Dr ………………………………, a duly authorised government veterinary officer, hereby certify that:

Animal health requirements for parasitic wasps (Eretmocerus hayati) to be exported from Australia to French Polynesia.

  1. The shipment was inspected at the time of loading and found to be free of contaminants as follows:

    • - insects of other species, hyperparasites, pathogens, harmful organisms
    • - plant debris (including seeds)
    • - soil
    • - any other contaminant.

  2. The exported wasps originate from a research centre, a licensed breeding facility or one managed by a research organisation, an administrative service, or a company specialised in the production of insects.

  3. The place where the exported wasps were born and/or raised is approved for export purposes by a competent authority of Australia.

  4. The exported wasps were bred from individuals born in captivity.

  5. The exported wasps are transported in packaging and with accompanying materials that are new or disinfected.​
