Importing country requirements
It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the importing country requirements.
Pet rabbits imported from Australia to Canada require an import permit, health certificate and quarantine in Canada. The importation of live rabbits for commercial purposes is currently prohibited.
Information about the process required to import animals into Canada can be found on the
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) website.
