HEALTH CONDITIONS FOR BOVINE EMBRYOS (in vivo) FROM AUSTRALIA TO ARGENTINA

1. Regarding the Exporting Country / Con respecto al país exportador
   
   
   1. 1.1. Australia is officially free of foot-and-mouth disease, rinderpest and contagious bovine pleuropneumonia as recognised by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE). Australia declares itself free of bovine tuberculosis, vesicular stomatitis and Rift valley fever before the OIE and complies with the recommendations of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code /
      Australia es oficialmente libre de fiebre aftosa, peste bovina y perineumonía contagiosa bovina, como ha reconocido la Organización Mundial de Sanidad Animal (OIE). Australia se declara libre de tuberculosis bovina, estomatitis vesicular y fiebre del Valle del Rift ante la OIE y cumple con las recomendaciones del Código Sanitario para los Animales Terrestres de la OIE.
   
   
2. Regarding the Embryo Collection Team / Con respecto al equipo de colecta de embriones
   
   
   1. 2.1. The Embryo Collection Team is approved, registered and supervised by the Australian competent authority in accordance with the requirements of the relevant chapter of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code and SENASA has been supplied with the list of collection teams /
      El equipo de colecta de embriones es autorizado, registrado y bajo supervisión de la autoridad competente de Australia, de acuerdo a los requerimientos del capítulo correspondiente del Código Sanitario para los Animales Terrestres de la OIE y se ha provisto al SENASA la lista de los equipos de colecta.
   
   
   2. 2.2. The embryos were collected and processed under the supervision of the embryo transfer team veterinarian /
      Los embriones fueron colectados y procesados bajo la supervisión del equipo de veterinarios de transferencia de embriones.
   
   
   3. 2.3. The property at which the embryos were collected was not under any quarantine restrictions for nationally notifiable bovine diseases that can be transmitted by embryos for a minimum period of thirty (30) days before the collection of embryos, during that period, and in the thirty (30) days after the collection /
      Los embriones fueron colectados en una propiedad que no ha estado bajo ninguna restricción de cuarentena por enfermedad bovina de denuncia obligatoria que pueda ser transmitida por embriones por un periodo mínimo de treinta (30) días antes de la colecta de embriones, durante ese periodo, y en los treinta (30) después de la colecta.
   
   
3. The Donors of the Embryos / De las donantes de embriones
   
   
   1. 3.1. The property of origin had no official reports of notifiable bovine diseases that can be transmitted by embryos for a minimum period of thirty (30) days before the collection of embryos, during that period, and in the thirty (30) days after the collection /
      La propiedad de origen no tenía reportes oficiales de enfermedades bovinas de denuncia obligatoria que puedan ser transmitidas por embriones por un periodo mínimo de treinta (30) días antes de la colecta de embriones, durante ese periodo, y en los treinta (30) después de la colecta.
   
   
   2. 3.2. The donor cows have been resident at the property for a minimum period of thirty (30) days before the collection of embryos. During that period, and in the thirty (30) days after the collection, either the property of origin or the establishment where collection was carried out, there have been no official reports of bovine virus diarrhoea (BVD), and the donors showed no clinical sign of a nationally notifiable disease that can be transmitted by embryos /
      Las vacas donantes han permanecido en la propiedad por un periodo mínimo de treinta (30) días previos a la colecta de embriones. En este periodo, así como en los treinta (30) días posteriores a la colecta, en la propiedad de origen o el establecimiento donde la colecta fue llevada a cabo, no ha habido reportes oficiales de Diarrea viral bovina, y las donantes no presentaron ningún síntoma clínico de enfermedades de denuncia obligatoria a nivel nacional que puedan ser transmitidas por embriones.
   
   
   3. 3.3. The donor cows were born in Australia /
      Las vacas donantes nacieron en Australia.
   
   
   4. 3.4. The donor cows have been kept isolated from other animals of lesser health status during the above residency period /
      Las vacas donantes han sido mantenidas aisladas de otros animales con inferior estado de salud durante el periodo de residencia especificado anteriormente.
   
   
   5. 3.5. The donor cows have been inseminated with semen collected in a Semen Collection and Processing Centre (SCC) approved, registered and supervised by the Australian competent authority in accordance with the requirements of the relevant chapter of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code /
      Las vacas donantes han sido inseminadas con semen obtenido en un Centro de Colecta y Procesamiento de Semen-CCPS, registrado y aprobado por la autoridad competente australiana, de acuerdo a los requisitos del capítulo correspondiente del Código Sanitario para los Animales Terrestres de la OIE.


4. Collection, Processing and Storage / Colecta, Procesamiento y Almacenamiento
   
   
   1. 4.1. The embryos were collected, processed and stored in accordance with the requirements of the relevant chapter of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code and in the Manual of the International Embryo Transfer Society (IETS). The protocol includes supplementary washing with trypsin as described in the manual of the IETS /
      Los embriones fueron colectados, procesados y almacenados de acuerdo a las requisitos establecidos en el capítulo correspondiente del Código para los Animales Terrestres de la OIE, y en el Manual de la Sociedad Internacional de Transferencia de Embriones (IETS). El protocolo incluye lavados suplementarios con tripsina, como se describe en dicho manual.
   
   
   2. 4.2. After the washing procedures the zona pellucida of each embryo was examined over its entire surface, using a microscope with no less than 50x magnification, finding the surface intact and free of any adherent material /
      Después del procedimiento de lavado, la zona pelucida de cada embrión fue examinada en su superficie, usando un microscopio con aumento no menor de 50X, encontrándose intacta y libre de material adherente.
   
   
   3. 4.3. The materials and instruments used for the collection, handling, washing, freezing and preservation of the embryos were sterilized according to the recommendations of the manual of the IETS /
      Todo material y equipamiento utilizado para colectar, manipular, lavar, congelar y almacenar los embriones fue esterilizado antes del uso, de acuerdo con las recomendaciones del Manual de la IETS.
   
   
   4. 4.4. The media and solutions used for embryo collection or storage were sterilised, as stated in the IETS handbook and manipulated in such a way that they remain sterile. Foetal bovine serum, serum albumin or other product of ruminant origin originated from countries recognised by the OIE as having negligible risk in relation to bovine spongiform encephalopathy /
      El medio y las soluciones usadas para la colección o almacenamiento de embriones fueron esterilizados como se indica en el manual IETS y manipulados de tal manera que continuaran estériles. Se utilizó suero fetal bovino, albúmina sérica o productos de origen rumiante de países reconocidos por la OIE como de riesgo insignificante de Encefalopatía Espongiforme Bovina.
   
   
   5. 4.5. Embryos were stored in new containers, or containers washed and disinfected, containing liquid nitrogen of first use, for a minimum period of thirty (30) days prior to export /
      Los embriones fueron almacenados en contenedores nuevos o contenedores lavados y desinfectados, conteniendo nitrógeno líquido de primer uso, por un período mínimo de treinta (30) días previos al embarque.
   
   
   6. 4.6. There was no clinical evidence of diseases transmissible by embryos on the property where the embryos were collected during the thirty (30) days prior to export /
      No hubo evidencias clínicas de enfermedades transmisibles por embriones en la propiedad donde los embriones fueron colectados durante los treinta (30) días previos a la exportación.


5. The Seals / Precintos
   
   
   1. 5.1. Prior to export, the container in which the embryos are to be transported was sealed under the supervision of the Official Veterinarian using a seal bearing the number in this certificate /
      En el momento previo a la salida, el contenedor en el cual los embriones van a ser transportados fue precintado bajo la supervisión de un Veterinario Oficial usando sellos con el número de este certificado.
   
   
   2. 5.2. This health certifícate was issued within fifteen (15) days of shipment of the embryos for export /
      Este certificado sanitario fue expedido dentro de los quince días (15) del embarque de los embriones.
