Importing country requirements
It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the animal meets the importing country requirements.
An import permit is required.
Information about the process required to import pet birds into the United States of America from Australia can be found on the Department’s website or by referring to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) website. This is important as the process for bringing your pet bird into the United States (US) involves multiple agencies and it is critical that you meet all requirements for each of them.
