General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, flowers, weed seeds, and extraneous material. ​

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Rooted plants/cuttings less than two years in age must be packed in a sterilised medium that is free from soil particles and be free from fruit, seeds and pods.
Export of the following species is prohibited: Rosa rubiginosa (=Rosa eglanteria)

Treatment

​Consignments unable to certify place of production freedom for Pink hibiscus mealybug (Maconellicoccus hisutus), Black vine weevil (Otiorhynchus sulcatus) or Japanese beetle (Popillia japonica) are to be treated with a wide spectrum insecticide at recommended manufacturers requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Mites (Oligonychus biharensis), Light Brown Apple moth (Epiphyas postvittana), Plague thrips (Thrips imaginis), Hawaiian flower thrips (Thrips hawaiiensis), Whitefly (Aleurodicus dispersus), Nettle ensign scale (Orthezia urticae) and European fruit lecanium (Parthenolecanium corni),
3) Pink hibiscus mealybug (Maconellicoccus hirsutus), Black vine weevil (Otiorhynchus sulcatus) and Japanese beetle (Popillia japonica)  are known not to occur in the area of production.
