General Requirements

​Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Seeds are to be treated as per the treatment section below for the following pathogens:

  • Botrytis aclada
  • Botrytis allii
  • Botrytis byssoidea
  • Fusarium acuminatum
  • Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cepae
  • Pythium coloratum
  • Puccinia allii
  • Stemphylium botryosum
Explanation of endorsements

Endorsement 6890:
  • A crop inspection certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial leaf blight of tomato (Pseudomonas viridiflava), Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus palmeri), Creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense), Flower of an hour (Hibiscus trionum), Branched broomrape (Orobanche ramosa), Pale persicaria (Persicaria lapathifolia), Green bristlegrass (Setaria viridis), Field pennycress (Thlaspi arvense) and Tobacco rattle virus (TRV).

Treatment

​​Seeds must be disinfected prior to export with Fludioxonil 2.5% + Metalaxyl-M 1% -FS, in the dose of 2 ml/kg of seed or other product of similar action in suitable doses.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
