Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Phytosanitary sampling and inspection procedures address the additional declaration statements pertaining to Solenopsis invicta (Red imported fire ant) and Russian knapweed (Centaurea repens). Alternatively, exporters may have a representative sample tested in a laboratory for Russian knapweed (Centaurea repens).
A representative sample
must be tested in the laboratory for endorsing freedom from Bacterial wilt of
alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. insidiosus). Alternatively the
exporter may present area freedom certificate or crop inspection report for
endorsing freedom from Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis
subsp. insidiosus).
