General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Explanation of the endorsement:
  • Fiveangled dodder (Cuscuta pentagona) and Broad bean stain virus are not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from these pests.
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Winter wild oat (Avena ludoviciana), Australian dodder (Cuscuta australis), Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Darnel ryegrass (Lolium temulentum), Nematode (Meloidogyne spp) and Cucumber black rot (Mycosphaerella melonis),
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Bean weevil (Acanthoscelides obtectus), Weevil (Bruchus ervi) and Cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus maculatus) and American serpentine leaf miner (Liriomyza trifolii).​
