General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material. Fruit is to be free of leaves.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

The Import permit number must be quoted in the phytosanitary certificate.

Prior to export the consignment must be inspected and declared free of quarantine pests and diseases and free from other injurious pests and diseases.

All packing materials such as hay, straw, chaff etc. are to be sterilised and free from soil particles. Evidence of sterilisation is to be presented to the authorised officer approved by the department at time of inspection.

All consignments destined to Bangladesh using solid wood packing material must comply with ISPM 15.

The product will be inspected at the port of entry and may be subject to treatment.

Treatment

The consignment must undergo cold treatment onshore or in-transit (sensetic or any other recorder may be used for monitoring temperature for in-transit cold treatment) at the following rate:
  • 0 degrees Celsius, ±1 degrees Celsius, for 14 days.

If treatment is undertaken onshore exporter to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and to present to the authorised officer approved by the department at time of inspection.

In-transit refrigeration is not certified by the department on the phytosanitary certificate.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 4079)
1) The fruit in this consignment has been inspected and found free from injurious insect pests and diseases, or has been treated and found free from injurious insect pests and diseases. 
2) Subject to onshore cold treatment.
 
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 4080)
1) The fruit in this consignment has been inspected and found free from injurious insect pests and diseases, or has been treated and found free from injurious insect pests and diseases.
2) Subject to in-transit cold treatment.
