General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
​Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 5749:
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variable) and Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis).
  • A laboratory analysis certificate must be presented as evidence that the seeds were tested and found free of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense).
  • If required, the statement "OFFICIAL LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER (NUMBER) / DATE (DATE)" can be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@awe.gov.au).
  • A crop inspection report must be presented as evidence that the crop was inspected during the growing period and found to be free of Broomrape (Orobanche spp). 
Endorsement 5750:
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variable) and Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis).
  • A crop inspection report must be presented as evidence that the crop was inspected during the growing period and found to be free of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 5750)
1) The consignment was inspected and found free of Trogoderma spp and Oriental cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus chinensis),
2) The crop was officially inspected during the growing period and found to be free of Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).
