Australia does not currently have access to export egg and egg products sourced from the state of Victoria to Taiwan, due to Taiwan not recognising Victoria as being free of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI).
3.1 Cage, barn and free-range table eggs
For information on how to lodge a Request for Export (REX) for eggs and eggs products, follow the link.
For
table eggs produced for human consumption, use Health Certificate template EX46TW.
For table eggs use additional endorsement 5170.
Additional endorsement 5170
- The state(s) of origin is/are free from notifiable avian influenza and Newcastle disease.
- No outbreak of subtypes of H5 or H7 low pathogenic notifiable avian influenza (LPAI) has occurred for at least 28 days in the Australian state(s) of origin prior to export.
- The shell eggs have had their surfaces sanitized and are transported in new or appropriately sanitized packaging materials.
- The shell eggs are derived from infertile eggs.
3.2 Egg products that are not heat treated
For egg products that are not heat treated produced for human consumption, use Health Certificate template EX46TW (NEXDOC only).
For egg products use additional endorsement 5171.

- The state(s) of origin is/are free from notifiable avian influenza and Newcastle disease.
- No outbreak of the subtypes of H5 or H7 low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) has occurred for at least 28 days in the Australia state(s) or origin prior to export
- The egg products are transported in new or appropriate sanitized packaging materials.
3.3 Egg products that are heat treated
For egg products that are heat treated produced for human consumption, use Health Certificate template EX46TW (NEXDOC only) with additional endorsement 5171, as detailed in section 3.2 above.
3.4 Manufacturing grade products
There is no agreed certificate for the import of manufacturing grade products into Taiwan.
3.5 Consignments under 10kg and trade samples
There is no agreed certificate for the import of consignments under 10kg and trade samples into Taiwan.
