Production of egg products
There is no agreed certification for import of egg products into Oman.
Oman is a member of the Cooperation Council (GCC), which has published a
Guide for control on imported foods (PDF 1.7 MB). The guide sets out production conditions for egg products, such as HACCP, government inspection, and absence of feeding rendered animal products.
Production of shell eggs
There is no agreed certification for import of shell eggs into Oman.

There is no agreed certification for export of eggs and egg products into Oman.
The
Guide for control on imported foods (PDF 1.7 MB) states that all consignments of imported foods must be accompanied by a health certificate issued by the competent authority, or an officially recognised body. The health certificate for eggs and egg products must attest that:
- The eggs or egg products are fit for human consumption, in accordance with the hygiene requirements of the GCC
- The eggs or egg products have been derived from healthy birds that were subject to inspection by the competent authority, and in accordance with GCC requirements
- The eggs or egg products were handled in accordance with GCC requirements, at an establishment that has been subjected to inspections by the competent authority and implements a food safety management system based on HACCP principles or an equivalent system
- Eggs have not been derived from birds fed with processed animal protein, excluding fish meal
Exporters who wish to export eggs or egg products to Oman may contact the Department to request the development of an Australian health certificate.
