PORT OF ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 
Declaration to be completed by the owner/operator of the colony and endorsed by the GVO.
Animals must be examined within 48 hours of departure and a health certificate issued attesting to disease freedom and fitness to travel.

HEALTH CERTIFICATION

 
Declaration by owner/operator of breeding colony of origin
Colony is regularly monitored for the presence of diseases and parasites with negative results.
Rabbits for export are free of all internal and external parasites including coccidiosis.
The rabbits are healthy and fit to travel.
The rabbit are packed in new boxes.

Endorsement by a Government Veterinary Officer
He is familiar with the colony of origin, and that it is maintained in a high stste of management, and regularly monitored for disease with negative results.
He has no reason to doubt the owners declarations.

TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS

 
The imported animals must be transported under strict quarantine security to the approved prmises from which they may not be moved without the express permission of the Chief Inspector of Stock.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

 
These Health and Entry Conditions issued March 1993 replace Conditions April 1984 (for Laboratory Purposes only).
Strict controls are in place to allow distribution only with the express authority of the Chief Inspector of Stock.
