Transport requirements
A certificate signed by the master of the vessel/aircraft stating that:
a) the shipment has been made direct from the exporting country
to Cyprus, no transhipment being allowed;
b) the birds did not come in contact with any other animals or
poultry during transportation.
Special conditions
A family pet bird by Cyprus policy will be budgerigars, canaries or parrots.
Please contact the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities for any additional requirements or restrictions on the export of birds.

Health Certificate signed by Government Veterinary Officer required.
Australia Has been free for the past 12 months from:
. Newcastle disease
. fowl plague
The flock of origin free from clinical or other evidence of salmonellosis especially S. pullorum and S. thyphimurium,
during the past 6 months.
And birds have not been exposed to any of the above mentioned
diseases during the past 30 days.
Pre-export preparations
The birds were placed under veterinary supervision for 21 days before exportation;
and
for birds of the psittacine family, the birds were placed under veterinary supervision for the 45 days before exportation and subjected to preventive treatment against psittacosis with chlortetracycline.

Port of entry requirements
The birds have, within 48 hours of being exported been examined and found free from clinical signs or symptoms of any infectious or contagious diseases.
