General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


​Acer seeds must be treated as per MPI Standard MPI-STD-ABTRT Approved Biosecurity Treatments as follows:

  • Captan at 2 grm a.i. per kg of seed
  • Thiram at 2 grm a.i. per kg of seed

Treatment details for treatment occurring offshore will not be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.
