General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

​Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Explanation of endorsement 3559: 
  • Rot (Burkholderia gladioli pv. alliicola) is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required for endorsing freedom from this pest.
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from American serpentine leaf miner (Liriomyza trifolii).
  • Authorised Officer Inspection, crop inspection or lab analysis report may be used to certify Russian knapweed (Centurea repens) and Darnel grass (Lolium temulentum) and Russian knapweed (Centurea repens).
The following pests are not on the seed export pathway for Daucus carota seed. Freedom from these pests may be endorsed without citing evidence:
  • Bacterial wilt (Erwinia chrysanthemi)
