Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.Exporters must confirm with the Brazilian
Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock & Food Supply (MAPA) if an import
permit is required for the consignment.
If an import permit is required, an
original and official translation of the import permit must be presented to the
Authorised Officer at the time of making an appointment for inspection.
A phytosanitary certificate is still
required if an import permit is not issued.
Explanation of the endorsements
Endorsement 3497:
- A crop inspection report is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. insidiosus) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).
Endorsement 3498:
- A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. insidiosus) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).
- If required the statement "OFFICIAL LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER (NUMBER) / DATE (DATE)" can be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@aff.gov.au).
Endorsement 7331:
