General Requirements

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note: ICRS are applicable to Brassica napus var oleifera seed as well.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsements 860, 2878, 7391 and 7636:

The laboratory analysis certificate number must be entered in the "Lot number" section of the EXDOC Request For Permit (RFP) as: LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER <NUMBER>. There is to be no deviation from this text format.

Endorsement 7391:
  • ​Only applies for consignments produced in the United States of America that were imported into Australia before being exported to Brazil.
  • Visual inspection is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense).
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci),​ Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and Witchweed (Striga spp).
  • The country of origin must be listed in the Additional Product Description.

Endorsement 7636:
  • This endorsement can only ​be used for consignment imported from Chile (without an original phytosanitary certificate) to Australia. Country of origin must be listed in the 'additional product description' section of the phytosanitary certificate​.
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Arabis Mosaic Virus, Tobacco Rattle Virus, Sun spurge (Euphorbia helioscopia), Flower of an hour (Hibiscus trionum), Cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica), Hoary cress (Lepidium draba), Mouse-ear hawkweed​ (Pilosella officinarume​), Perennial sowthistle (Sonchus arvensis), Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Field dodder (Cuscuta campestris), Alfalfa dodder (Cuscuta epithymum)​ and Broomrape (Orobanche spp.)​.​

Treatment

Consignments are to be fumigated with an appropriate fumigant at recommended manufacturer's requirements if required by the import permit.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

​Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

If the import permit does not list a requirement for treatment, no treatment details to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.

Additional Declaration/Endorsements

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2877)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of weeds, viruses, bacteria, fungi and nematodes.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2878)
1) The consignment is found free through laboratory analysis of weeds, viruses, bacteria, fungi and nematodes.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 858)
1) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and Witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 859)
1) The area of production is free of Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and Witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement 860)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and Witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 6 (EXDOC Endorsement 7391)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free from Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense),
2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dips​aci), Broomrape (Orobanche spp) and Witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 7 (EXDOC Endorsement 7636)
